My kids and I are interested in raiding throughout the Summer and knocking out some stuff in the current expansion before the new stuff is released in August. Please fill out this form so I can get an idea who's interested in what before I recruit out what remaining spots are needed.
In true guild fashion, we'll be celebrating our birthday this weekend with some vintage raiding. We'll knockout a few heroic achievements and maybe do some speed dungeons as we have in the past. And what good would be a birthday party without any presents? Normally we've given out lots of virtual presents (gold, wow TCG pets, mounts, stuff, etc.). With no wow TCG loot cards and gold not being so difficult to obtain nowadays, we're going to change thing up a bit. Everyone (veteran and new members alike) who participates in the weekend activities will be getting a 2015 guild T-Shirt. I know... yay a T-Shirt right? But it's going to be badass because your Guildmaster is designing it and then going to send it to you. :) Click here to enter your shirt size and mailing address information. Looking forward to a happy fourth birthday... see you guys there!
Yes, it's been a while since there's been any news, but we're still very alive and well (and slowly growing again)!
The time seems to work with most, so we will be raiding EVERY Sunday at 9:30pm. It is not anticipated that this will be any sort of progression... that just wouldn't be our style. These raids will be geared more towards achievements of some sort, namely Ulduar as of late for both our guild achievements and 10-man mount.
Ventrilo will remain offline for the forseeable future until demand requires its return.
Continuing our support of Blizzard's Summer Challenges, Never Odd or Even completed Trial of the Crusader. Those who attended also achieved Salt and Pepper. Be sure to join us next week for Heroic: Zul'Aman and Heroic: Zul'Gurub.
The website will soon be undergoing some extensive maintenance to accommodate for some long-awaited additions. A new member section with profiles will allow members to register and "claim" their characters on both horde and alliance guilds. Further, a simple forum and calendar only available to registered members will be added. Stay tuned....
As of today, we now have an Alliance facade. Nemo's Omen (of course it had to be a palindrome) will be Never Odd or Even with the Alliance faction.
So what's the idea behind this? Although we will continue to primarily be a horde guild, and similarly to how we had our own guild in the Mists of Pandaria beta, the idea is to offer a home for any of us who have Alliance alts. So... same tabard... same ranks... same bank... same vent... same rules... same website... and ultimately, but most importantly, the same people (although others will certainly be welcome). This also seemed like a very good way to relieve our rapid growth into the next expansion while opening up another aspect of the game in an atmosphere with which we're all comfortable.
For an invite you'll need a direct invite from Cordana[H]/Wacoal[A] until we have more of our members create alts. Of course everyone can invite other members into the guild as always. Once you're a member, please be sure to change your character's note to the name of your main on the horde side so others know who you are. I'm working on figuring out a way to combine memberships to be all inclusive on this website.
Today Blizzard announced Mists of Pandaria will be released on September 25, 2012. This means a lot for our guild, and the purpose of this post is to outline our intentions as we head forward into the next expansion.
We recently purged over 200 inactive members from our ranks. This was done for two reasons: 1) to make room for new active members and 2) to make room for alts going into the expansion. We full well expect most of our members to make panda alts that will want to take advantage of our guild perks. And we want you to. So we have every intention of being prepared for this. This also means there will be another big guild purge of inactive members! This purge will take place on August 25th and/or 26th to allow members who'd like to return before the expansion to retain their reputation with the guild. Understand, that as the largest guild on the realm, we full well expect to be maxed out on members. We also understand there are a great number of members that consider us family (both active and inactive alike). Although over two months is typically considered inactivity before being considered for guild removal, inactives of over a month may be considered for removal if additional room is required.
Keep in mind, there is no intention of changing our guild format. We will continue into the expansion as a casual guild with scheduled dungeons and raids that are not mandatory. With 1000 members, we certainly have our share of groups that focus on their own niche... raiding, PvP, PvE, dailies, collecting, quests, etc. Oddly enough, Mists of Pandaria has been designed to cater to this format and in fact adds a host of things to do to that list. If you're looking for a more structured raiding and/or PvP format, this is not the guild for you. We are Never Odd or Even, we touch on a little bit everything, which is really what makes us so attractive.
Upon the expansion's release, ALL veterens will be demoted to members. Of course veteren status may be reacquired upon reaching level 90.
In the true spirit of our guild, we'll be doing some fun runs leading up to the expansion on September 1st, 8th and 15th. The dungeon races were a huge hit for our birthday bash in April, so you can expect that to return along with some classic raids. More details will surface on this over the course of the next month.
Also, this Sunday, July 29th, will be our last [guild] raid on Dragon Soul.
Finally, as much as I hate to do it, guild rules, or rather "Etiquette", has been outlined and posted.
As part of Blizzard's Summer Challenges, Never Odd or Even completed Temple of Ahn'Qiraj Guild Run. We also knocked out Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj while we were in the area. Checkout our screenshots below. Thanks everyone for the good times and reflections of times past.
Celebrating our first year of existance, we completed Black Temple for fun and had several groups compete in heroic races competing for 15,000 gold in prizes, and completing Heroic: The Steamvault, Heroic: Underbog and Heroic: The Slave Pens. Thank you to all who were able to participate and to everyone who's contributed to our growth the past year. Here's to the next year!
Congratulations to all members of Never Odd or Even; we're Level 25!
